Dear creatives, dreamers and builders of virtual worlds,

After a time of reflection away from Cyberix3D, I am delighted to return to you. My passion for creation and the desire to push the limits have always driven me.

Today, I'm revealing my current project designed to fully exploit the potential of Cyberix3D. The 'Aria' project is inspired by my earlier prototype, 'Joshua'.

the prototype 'Joshua' : www.gamemaker3d.com/player?pid=0450246352

Do not hesitate to come and discuss the project here, I will try to answer all your questions and requests for information. *I will post some news

Yes Aria is understandable, but if you're worried about some of the words being hard to understand like some in Joshua, then there are better options for AI voices out there.

Thank you for the feedback ! yes absolutely, but I think Aria will be much more understandable than 'Joshua', the method and the algorithm is different, I will modify in the future if necessary. :P

I still haven't finished the intro... I would like to be able to use several light sources but each time I add one more to the level it distorts my initial vision

initial vision :
ibb.co/cNXb9MC

adding a new light source :
ibb.co/SmLbCHc

Even by changing the parameters of the light sources, it is impossible to keep the initial vision for the moment :S

I personally would just work on finishing the mechanics & levels for now and work on the Art/details of the level later.

If the lighting is a big concern however, probably create some style guide levels just to test the lighting and find some compromise between your vision and the engine, just as long as this work is done on the side and doesn't distract you from finishing the game.

Either way I hope you find a way to solve the problem, the lighting in your initial vision looks very nice. Those textures would 100% benefit from adding normal maps & specular maps, but again that's something you should do separately or later.

yes of course the level mechanism comes first, but I can't finish the introduction without it being 'perfect', that will cause some problems for the other levels...

I will try to modify the parameters or reduce the number of light sources, make a compromise, thank you ;)

I created a function that changes the parameters directly in the game, this allows me to adjust correctly and have the rendering in real time

Oh wow that's insanely useful, I should implement that if I work on another Cyberix project.

yes exactly, the more light sources you have the longer the function code, but once finished, it saves time and gives a precise vision, all that remains is to apply the parameters afterwards.

the project is progressing... the introduction is almost finished, a lot of working time for a few seconds of intro

Wow that really looks good. I really love the contrast of the lighting and how much it makes the normal mapping pop.

it is difficult to synchronize an animation with audio perfectly, or even impossible if the project requires a lot of resources. :(

I will continue the project with a fixed image of Aria (not animated) this is a shame for the immersion but I have no choice for the moment...

if the project is finished before the launch of the new engine (CyberixEngine) I will make a version with the old engine, and if the new one solves this problem then a second improved version will be published ;)
