TOPIC: Why I can't use "If collision"?

Why I can't use "If collision"? 6 years 8 months ago #1048

I am new to Cyrberix3D. I am trying to play some sound file after collision. However, even though I have turned on the "collision" of both objects and it appears to collide in the game, the "if collision" cannot be triggered. Can anyone help me?

Hello Roger,
First, You need to put the "If Collision" inside of a Loop command.
Second, You need to make sure that none of following parameters are set to "0":
Polygon Collision
Collision
Static
If some of these parameters are set to "0" you can reset them by pressing the "x" button near each parameter.

Thanks for your reply.

But if I set both objects to be "static", then they cannot move!

Try to use the collisions parameters as follows:

And not as follows:

Thanks! It begins to works now!
However, there is still some little problem. When two objects collide, it often detect the collision more than once. I play a "boom" sound file after detecting the collision and I often heard the "boom" sound twice (or more). How can this be avoided?

Try to put the if collision in only one of the objects and tell us if it works.
